BINGO! with us at the Shellsburg Legion, Saturday, February 25

The Shellsburg Lions will hold Bingo at the Legion on Saturday, February 25. The Legion will provide food with minimal charge. ($2-3 and beverages $1) The Blackout is guaranteed to be $50. Author Chris Davies to hold Book Signing April 1 at Brickside Brew-N-Chew

"Debt Paid, Keep the Change" is a book written by Vinton resident Chris Davies. Arriving here in September, he was still in the process of finishing his book The book set to release on April 3rd, is available now on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Walmart.com, Ebooks and anywhere else that sells books. There will be a book signing and launch party at Brickside Brew-N-Chew (115 West 4th St.

Keystone Fire Department Dinner February 18

The Keystone Fire Department will be holding their annual dinner on February 18 from 5-8:00 p.m.The meal includes: Pork Loin, party potatoes, green bean casserole and a roll.Cost is a freewill donation with delivery in Keystone for $10. Call 442-3146 to schedule a delivery within the city limits.All proceeds go to support the Keystone Fire Department truck fund.

Central Lutheran Spring Fling April 1

Central Lutheran School, Newhall, will host the biennial spring fling Saturday, April 1, at the school gym, 310 3rd St. W, Newhall. A silent auction, bingo, games and a meal will take place from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Heads or tails, paddle auction and a live auction will be held at 6:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Darrin Crow to share Iowa History 2/20/23 2:00 p.m. Vinton Public Library

The Vinton Public Library will host Darrin Crow on Monday, February 20th. Crow will begin his presentation at 2:00 p.m. Crow will be sharing Iowa history through storytelling.  He plans to share stories about two different wars in Iowa, the Honey War and the Bill Johnson War. Crow said, "Both are relatively obscure stories of pretty absurd things that happened in one part of Iowa that affected things all across the state.

4-H Program at the Library-Marvelous Marshmallows February 28 4:30 pm

All K-5th grade youth are welcome to join in on this fun learning experience! Youth do NOT need to be 4-H members to participate. Learn about Iowa’s connection to a famous treat, conduct investigations, and launch marshmallows at a target to learn more about STEM processing skills.
